Healing a Leper

A leper approached Jesus, knelt before Him, and asked for help, saying, "If you are willing, you can make me clean." Moved with compassion, Jesus stretched out His hand, touched him, and said, "I am willing, be cleansed." Immediately, the leprosy was cured and he became clean. Then, while giving him leave, Jesus sternly instructed him not to tell anyone, but to go show himself to the priest and offer the sacrifice that Moses commanded as a testimony to his healing. However, the man went and spread the news everywhere, so much so that Jesus could no longer enter a town openly. He stayed in lonely places, and people came to Him from everywhere.
